We’re so thrilled to be back from our first wedding of the year in Seattle! Our first taste at being Washington wedding photographers was with Khristy and Fletcher’s winter wedding on the Skansonia in Seattle. We also shot three amazing engagement sessions in the mountains, and even managed to squeeze a hike in for ourselves. If fall in Seattle didn’t get us excited for our move, winter was the icing on the cake (and from what we hear, our two summer trips will be the cherry on top to seal the deal!) We even met with our realtor so we could get the ball rolling, officially, on the move. That one simple meeting made things start to feel very real. Real enough that I started a countdown to our moving trip; 6 months and 28 days!

Here’s a little sneak peek of what we were up to this trip! The big reason for our trip was Khristy and Fletcher’s Seattle winter wedding on the Skansonia, a retired Seattle Ferry. We also met up with Kate and Vic again, since their fall engagement session was completely rained out on our last trip, and instead of rain this time they got snow. Blake and Brad contacted us right before our trip, and we were able to meet up with them for an engagement session in the mountains. It was an awful day for skiing, but it turned out to be an amazing morning for photos around the ski resort at Alpental. Then, on the last night of our trip we drove up to Bow to see Lexi and Sean, who brought us up to a gorgeous lookout point they used to visit when they first started dating in high school. We loved hearing about and celebrating each one of these amazing couples’ love stories, and can’t wait to share full blog posts soon!
