Corson Building Wedding | Seattle Wedding Photographers
Small Intimate Elopement | SODO Seattle
This Corson Building Wedding was the perfect union of intimate wedding day and formal garden party. It was our first of hopefully many visits to the Corson Buidling in the SODO neighborhood in Seattle. The small space packs a big punch of photographic charm. The grounds are surrounded by lush gardens of herbs, vegetables, and all manor of flora that drapes almost every surface at the small property. It usually functions as a farm to table restaurant, but if you are a foodie you’ll want to rent it for your wedding!
When we arrived we found our bride upstairs in the loft adorning a flower crown that would perfectly match her surroundings. They wanted to keep things simple, and so did we. For their first look we chose the courtyard right in front of the Corson Building, it was the perfect backdrop. Then, we spent their portrait time weaving among all the garden beds.
After some time for portraits, we joined their friends and family for a beautiful ceremony performed by the groom’s father. The tears and the laughter reminded us why we love this job and telling these stories. That is one of our favorite parts about intimate weddings – less people, but the same amount of emotions! The joy didn’t end there though, as everyone made their way over to the lush outdoor dining area for dinner and toasts. It was the perfect dinner party celebrating the union as the sun went down.
