Roche Harbor Resort Wedding Weekend

Tucked into the coastal beauty of the San Juan Islands, Roche Harbor Resort set the stage for a wedding weekend that was equal parts elegant and unforgettable. The couple welcomed guests on Friday evening with a fun luau-themed dinner on the lawn, where toasts from a number of members of the bridal party were heard. Guests mingled on the shore as the sun dipped behind the harbor, setting the tone for a weekend that blended high-end style with a relaxed, intimate celebration.

Saturday’s ceremony took place against the backdrop of Roche Harbor’s iconic gardens, where the couple exchanged vows surrounded by sweeping views and timeless charm. Every detail was carefully curated, but it was the in-between moments we captured that truly tell the story of the love that surrounds this couple. With an unobtrusive approach, our documentary style preserves the authenticity of the day so couples can relive not just how the day looked, but how it felt.

But, photographing this wedding turned out to be just one part of the services we provided. Early in the evening, while their live band was getting the party going, there was an island-wide power outage. While the band entertained the crowd with acoustic power ballad sing-a-longs, we brainstormed a way to use power from our converted camper van. We were able to get the band back up to full power for the rest of the evening, and the result was a dance party we won’t soon forget!
