Seattle Engagement Photos | Pioneer Square | Safeco Field | Seattle Ferry
It isn’t often we’re in Seattle for a session, but we were really excited for these Seattle ferry engagement photos, with a stop in between at Pioneer Square and Safeco Field. Most of the time we love to get out of the city and go somewhere more natural, like a State or National Park. Since Alissa and Sean are getting married in Olympic National Park next year, they wanted to showcase Seattle in their engagement photos for a little change of pace. We took the ferry into the city and got to know each other over some drinks in the galley, before walking to one of our favorite parts of Seattle – Pioneer Square, to start their session. Photographically, we love all the texture the Pioneer Square neighborhood has to offer. From the brick streets, to bright storefronts and walls of ivy, and yes, even a dingy alleyway. We even had our fair share of excitement when we witnessed the baseball bat stolen from the statue outside of Safeco Field. (The statue we were making our way towards for photos – we had to get creative with some composition so you couldn’t tell it was missing!) After that excitement, we caught a ferry back to the Peninsula, and photographed a very windy fall sunset from the front of the ferry – something that has been on our bucket list for a while.
