Wedding at Novelty Hill-Januik Winery

Friday weddings have become popular in recent years, but they can still cause a bit of dispute. How do you manage a full wedding while respecting your guest’s workdays? This couple executed a Friday wedding at Novelty Hill-Januik winery in Woodinville flawlessly. The key was having an intimate family-only ceremony earlier in the afternoon and celebrating their nuptials with extended family and friends later in the evening with a cocktail-style reception.

We love how this allowed for a relaxed day leading up to a beautiful and intentional wedding ceremony on the lower terrace at the winery. The smaller number of guests brought an intimate feel to the ceremony where everyone felt like they were a part of the couple’s heartfelt vows.

After the ceremony there was time for photos while we waited for the sun to set and guests to start arriving. Guests filtered in during cocktail hour, where there was plenty of space to spread out and mingle. The couple had planned for several different areas for their guests to hang out; from comfortable seating to high tables. Everything was decked out with a modern boho charm.

After the cocktail hour was complete and the couple joined their party, toasts, stations of food and dessert were enjoyed by all. Despite the cocktail-style evening, the DJ had the dance floor packed until the end of the night where the bride and groom were the life of the party!
