This couple’s enchanted forest wedding at Wellspring Spa is the perfect illustration of one of our favorite types of wedding days. Picture this: you have all of your favorite people lodged for the weekend in nature at a beautiful resort with plenty of activities. It’s easy to feel the nostalgia of huge family reunions and weekends away at summer camp; completely engrossed in enjoying the experience of being together.
We hesitate to say we love weddings where everyone is “stuck” for the weekend – but we do! The kind of relaxed morning atmosphere and the dance party that just won’t quit at the end of the evening because no one has to drive is really special.
This wedding was our first time at Wellspring Spa, despite begging the universe for a chance to shoot there since we found out about it. We love it so much we probably would have had our own wedding celebration here, if we had known.
The forest fills the property and is absolutely magical; with tall trees and ferns filling the understory. All of the communal areas around the property are quaint and nestled right into nature – perfect for an intimate wedding feel.
Not to mention Wellspring is nestled at the base of Mount Rainier in Ashford, Washington. A perfect location for showing your guests the magic of the Pacific North West!
